Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to maintain measurement precision for a long period by making zero adjustment in every measurement by converting the displacement of an object to be measured into a mechanical displacement output and then by putting a measurement system in operation by making a displacement sensor respond to the conversion output only in the measurement.
CONSTITUTION: In nonmeasurement mode, solenoid changeover valve 8b3 is open for communication with the air via sequence controller 13 and the pressure of pressure room 8a of support 5 decreases. Simultaneously, gas of higher pressure than external pressure adjusted by safety valve 11e is applied into room 8a and chamber C, and displacement sensor 7a held airtight by bellows 7d separates from displacement transfer mechanism 6 generating a mechanical displacement output via the 1st and 2nd displacement detecting members 3 and 4 corresponding to the displacement of membrane 2 of a low-temperature tank. When the measurement is not taken, sensor 7a makes no response, the measurement system is not in operation and the explosion resistance is maintained. Therefore, zero adjustment can be made through controller 13 right before every measurement, and this displacement measuring device can maintain measurement precision for a long period and is explosion- proofed.
