Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to detect the burning condition of the pilot flame surely even when only the pilot flame burner is re-ignited immediately after a main burner and the pilot flame burner are extinguished by a method wherein the flame temperature varying rate of the pilot flame is inputted into two sets of comparators having different hysteresises.
CONSTITUTION: The flame temperature of the pilot flame is detected by a temperature detector 4 and the signal thereof is differentiated in a differential circuit 5, thereafter, is outputted to the first and second voltage comparators 6, 7 having hysteresis characteristics such as shown in the diagrams A, B respectively as a temperature rising rate or a temperature falling rate. The first comparator 6 outputs a pilot flame igniting signal when the above-described temperature rising rate is exceeding a predetermined value while outputting a pilot flame loosing signal when the temperature falling rate is exceeding the predetermined value. On the other hand, the second comparator 7 outputs the pilot flame igniting signal when the temperature rising rate is becomming smaller than the predetermined value while outputting the pilot flame loosing signal when the temperature falling rate is exceeding the predetermined value. The outputs of these comparators 6, 7 are outputted selectively through a switching circuit 8 controlled by a timer circuit 9.
