Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure curve and torsion by placing a fuel aggregate between supporting frames and arranging an ultrasonic wave transmitter/receiver longitudinally in two rows at suitable intervals.
CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic wave transmitter/receiver 4 is arranged in two rows on supporting frames 1, 2 of a fuel aggregate 11 at a position opposite to a grid 12 each. A time required from transmitting to receiving a pulse signal is measured by means of an upper nozzle 9, a lower nozzle 10 and the ultrasonic wave transmitter/ receiver 4 opposite to two suitable grids 12 coming between them to obtain a distance from the ultrasonic wave transmitter/receiver 4 to the fuel aggregate 11, thereby measuring curve, torsion or tear and break of the grid 12.
