Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the machine smaller and to perform electrolytic operation efficiently, by using rotatable and closed electrolytic cell, by mounting cylindrical shaft having a hollow chamber on the upper wall of the cell, and by making take- out opening for gases formed by electrolysis in the wall of the cylindrical shaft. CONSTITUTION:An electrolytic cell 1 for water provided with electrode plates 6, a diaphragm 3 is rotated around a driving shaft 2. A cylindrical shaft 8 having a hollow chamber 9 is fixed to the upper part of the upper wall 5 of the electrolytic cell 1. O2 discharged through a delivery pipe 10, delivery hole 12 and a discharge hole 14 for the O2 produced by electrolysis, and H2 is collected through a delivery hole 11, take-out opening 13 from the hollow chamber 9. Because the electrolytic cell rotates, electrolytic soln. is pressurized equally at every parts by centrifugal force, and the electrolysis is performed efficiently at a low bath voltage. Discharge of O2, H2 by utilizing annular discharge grooves 16, 15 made in the cylindrical shaft mounted on the electrolytic cell makes the machine itself compact.
