CONSTITUTION:On each surface of hard exterior decorative parts for a watch made of Ni alloy consisting of 10-50wt% Cr, 1.0-6wt% Al and the balance Ni and inevitable impurities and having 300-900Hv micro-Vickers hardness, a TaC coat having 0.1-20mu thickness and 1,000-2,000Hv micro-Vickers hardness is formed by a reactive ion plating method or other method. The resulting parts are protected from scratches, maintain the original luster, and are not almost cracked when it is dropped. In addition, they have high corrosion resistance and assume a fine gold color.
