Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a continuous extrusion molding mold by a method wherein a spark discharge machining is performed while electrodes bent in staggered type alternately are moved in sequence in two directions maintaning a constant distance.
CONSTITUTION: Electrodes 4 are formed in the manner that a copper plate having a thickness necessary for the required extrusion molding is bent from its longitudinal end 1 covering its whole length to its other end 2 in a staggered shape to form bent- sides 31W3n. The electrodes 4 are transferred in the direction of the arrow A with respect to the surface 6 of the mold 5, or to the direction of the arrow C alternately, while at the position which is the point the electrode 4 has moved the same distance in sequence toward the arrow B direction which is rectangular to the former, the electrode 4 and the mold 5 are electrified, and through the spark discharge machining, a plurality of staggered grooves 81W8n are formed. Thereafter, the electrode 4 is rotated by 60° with its longitudinal midpoint as the rotation pivot, to machine the grooves 121W12n.
