Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the working accuracy and the operation performance by setting a correction means of the axis together with securing a bearing which supports a cantilever boring shaft between a main shaft head and cutting tool table.
CONSTITUTION: A bearing 29 is secured between cutting tool table 10 and main shaft head 6. The correction of the amount of a bending in a cantilever boring shaft 14 is easily controlled by the change of the bending curve of the cantilever boring shaft 14 from E to F adding the correcting force P at a point of the main shaft side 16 of the main shaft 14 taking the bearing 29 as a fulcrum. The inclination of the cantilever boring shaft 14 in accordance with the shaking of the main shaft head 6 upward and downward is guided by a spherical bearing 31 of an intermeidate bearing and static pressure spherical bearings, 32 and 33, the top end of said cantilever boring shaft being always positioned on an ideal center line and thereby the working accuracy is improved.
