Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus used for an oil fence or driftwood collecting fence, which is capable of making the fence accurately follow the shifting of water level and thereby maintaining the fence always on the water surface by use of a water level detector and a control circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The water level following system of this invention comprises a water level detector 50 mounted on trolley 16 and a control circuit 70 for controlling winch 24 in response to the output signal from said water level detector 50. When level switch 53 disposed upwardly of float 52 of detector 50 is turned ON as the water level is raised, winch 24 is set into operation for lifting trolley 16 supporting fence 10 through a distance equivalent to the raised water level, so that the rear end of fence 10 is located correctly on the water surface. Then, relay 72 is energized by switch 54 of water level detector 50 for turning winch in reverse direction, so that rope 20 is reeled out through a required length. Therefore, even if a high tensile force is acted to the fence, it can be kept always on the water surface.
