Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the cathode scouring electrolytic liquid which prevents the deterioration in the scouring liquid while maintaining excellent scouring performance by inhibiting the electrodeposition of iron on a cathode with a methylol compound or its condensation contained in place of cyanic compound conventionally employed.
CONSTITUTION: The cathode scouring electrolytic liquid composed of following, the ingredient a: more than 1g/l, preferably 30W100g/l of one or more of caustic alkalis such as NaOH and inorganic alkali salt such as Na2CO3; the ingredient b: more than 0.1g/l, preferably 10W100g/l, of one or more of gluconic acid or the like or salts thereof, polyhydric alcohol such as sorbitol and amino polycarbonic acid such as EDTA; the ingredient C; more than 0.1g/l of methylol amino compound such as methylol amin and soluble condensation of one or more of the compounds. In addition, a proper amount of appropriate surface active agent may be added as required. The concentration of the ingredient is fixed at 50W200g/l in terms of the total amount of the ingredients.
