Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a loading efficiency by a method wherein the loading is enabled to load each steel stock so as to be contacted with each other in the up- and-down directions and both left and right sides upon the cargo is loaded by the cooperating operations of a ground crane and a jib crane.

CONSTITUTION: The jib crane is hung and loaded into a hold 9 by the bridge-type crane on the ground and through a hatch 11 is kept in waiting for the work thereof at the hold section F. Subsequently, the proper amount of the steel stocks are loaded into the hold section E by the bridge-type crane. The loaded steel stocks are distributed by the jib crane under balancing left and right balances of a ship 10 and the first stage loading is effected into the hold sections A, B, C, D. After the loading in the hold sections A, B, C, D is finished, the steel stocks are loaded into the hold E into such a height that the jib crane can be moved by self propulsion from the hold F onto the pile of the steel stocks piled in the hold E. After the necessary amount of the steel stocks are loaded into the hold E, the jib crane is moved to ride on the steel stocks in the hold E and the steel stocks are loaded into the hold F this time by the bridge-type crane into such a height that the jib crane can be moved to ride thereon.
