Abstract
PURPOSE:To make detection easy and high-precision, by using a threadlike material where a weight is fitted to a tip. CONSTITUTION:Threadlike material 1 consisting of a thread, a string, a narrow wire, and so on where weight 2 consisting of materials which does not receive chemical change due to the liquid and the sludge is fitted to one end and recording paper 3 and weight 11 are fitted to the other end is suspended and supported through pulleys 6 and 7. The constant-speed rotation of rotary plate 5 with recording pen 4 is started; and after the start level is recorded in the top part of recording paper 3, dropping of weight 2 is started, and lines are recorded on recording paper 3 at the interval corresponding to the drop speed of weight 2. As a result, when weight 2 reaches boundary face 10 between liquid 8 and sludgy precipitate 9, the drop speed of weight 2 is reduced to make the interval of recording lines narrow rapidly, and thus, the position of boundary face 10 is detected immediately accurately even if the viscosity and so on of sludgy precipitate 9 to be measured are not clear.
