Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a brazing sheet superior in corrosion resistance and deflexion resistance, by manufacturing a clad material, having a brazing material as cladding, direct from a plate of the brazing material and molten aluminum. CONSTITUTION:Into the mold space formed between two rolls, a beltlike plate of an Al alloy brazing material and molten Al or Al alloy are supplied simultaneously to cast a clad material. Since the beltlike plate of the Al alloy brazing material is the cladding of the cladding material, it is only supplied along one roll for a one- sided clad material, but supplied along both the rolls for a both-sided clad material so that the molten metal will be soldified being sandwiched between the beltlike plates. To obtain a brazing sheet superior in deflexion resistance, molten Al alloy containing 0.3-2.5% manganese and 0.1-0.7% iron is favorably used.
