Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a filament yarn having improved uniformity with a high molecular orientation, by melt extruding a high polymer, e.g. PET, cooling and solidifying the resultant filament yarn, drawing and winding the yarn without a winding step under specific conditions.
CONSTITUTION: A high polymer, preferably polyethylene terephthalate, is melt extruded through a spinneret 1, and the resultant filament yarn 2 is cooled and solidified and, without winding, drawn between the first and the second godet rolls 5 and 6 at a draw ratio of 1.05W1.30, and then wound onto a bobbin 10 at a speed of 2,500m/min or higher.
EFFECT: Improved uniformity between filaments and in the long direction even in the case of filaments of 3.5 deniers or less, and improved processability and uniform dyeing properties of the yarn in the post-treating step.
