Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable running of a vehicle on both rails and a road surface and thereby raise the efficiency of transportation by providing iron wheels and air- filled tire wheels having larger diameter than the former together in the transporting vehicle running on both the rails and the ordinary road.
CONSTITUTION: The top surface of the rails 2 and the surface 3 of the road are provided nearly in the same height, while the surface 3 of the road on both sides of the rails 2 is provided with a slant surface 3a so that the surface lowers grandually toward the side of the rails 2. Between the rails 2 is provided guide 14 for guiding the iron wheels 11 of the vehicle 6 correctly on to the rails 2 when the vehicle is transferred from the road surface 3 to the rails 2. The guide 14 is arranged so that each iron wheel 11 is guided while the inside thereof contacting with the outside the guide, and is projected from the top surface of the rails 2 in such a degree as not to interfere with the apparatuses of the vehicle 6 postioned at the bottom thereof. The air-filled tire wheels 12 are separated from a surface 15 whereon the rails are laid when the vehicle 6 is completely transferred on to the rails 2.
