Abstract

PURPOSE:To assure the parallel redundancy when abnormality is generated in either of the inverters in parallel operation, by connecting batteries for directly transmitted commercial use to a common bus line, and disconnecting them from said bus line. CONSTITUTION:An AC power source 7 is provided in a plurality of inverters connected to the common bus line via semiconductor switches 11 and 21. Under the normal condition, the inverters 1 and 2 are operated in parallel in synchronization with said power source 7 and the power is supplied to a load 4. If one inverter fails, the increase in the output current of each inverter is detected by the first detecting level in overcurrent detecting circuits 14 and 24, the power source 7 is instantaneously connected to the common bus line. Thereafter, the increase in the output current of the abnormal inverter is detected by the second detecting level which is higher than the first detecting level, thereby the abnormal inverter is discriminated and disconnected from the common bus line.
