Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of charging electricity and shorten the charging time of a lead acid battery, by arranging a number of lead acid batteries within a cooling-water jar, electrically connecting the batteries and sending water into the jar, bofore an electrolyte is poured into the batteries and current is started. CONSTITUTION:A number of lead acid batteries 1 which contain no electrolyte are arranged within a cooling-water jar 2. Terminals 4 of the lead acid batteries 1 are electrically connected to one another by means of a cord, before cooling water is sent into the jar 2. After these procedures are finished, an electrolyte 6 is poured into the batteries 1, and current is started. At this point, it is preferred to provide guide ditches having the same width as that of the battery on the bottom of the inner wall of the jar 2, in order to arrange the batteries 1 at same intervals.
