Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a furnace capable of incinerating waste rubber tires without causing environmental pollution by carbonizing the waste rubber tires in an enclosed furnace by way of induction heating instead of using combustion flame and also capable of extracting volatile components as fuel by cooling and liquefying the same in separately installed cooler. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of waste rubber tires are put into a cylindrical intermediate container 8 in the manner that they are superposed on each other in the container 8. The container 8 is suspended by hanger 15 capable of travelling along a guide rail 14 and carried to a position just above the main body 1 of a furnace. At the position, the hanger 15 is lowered by a support member 16, until the container 8 is inserted completely into the furnace 1. In this state, when the furnace is heated by impressing high AC voltage to an induction electrode 4 between an asbestos layer 3 and an inner wall 5 after closing the top of the furnace 1 tightly with a cover 7, tires are heated and carbonized. Volatile components produced in the above process are carried via an outlet pipe 10 into a cooling chamber 12 including a cooling pipe, in which the volatile components are cooled and liquefied. On the other hand, viscous liquid is discharged to the outside by means of a gear pump 13.
