Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a comfortable thermal condition by preparing airs of the optimum temperatures in air-mix chambers respectively provided in a temperature- regulating casing and an air-distributing casing for respectively sending then toward the heads and feet of passengers. CONSTITUTION:A temperature-regulating casing 12 is constructed of a cool-air entrance 9 connected to the exit side of an unillustrated cooling unit or heater duct and an air-mix chamber 3 where the cool air that has bypassed a heater core by an air-mix door 2 joins the warm air that has passed through the heater core 1. The chamber 3 is connected to an air-distributing casing 14 via a delivery port 16. The air-distributing casing 14 is provided with an air-mix chamber 6 between a vent door 18 and a blow-off port 5 for the lower part of a car room. Into this chamber 6, the warm air that has passed through the heater core 1 is directly introduced from an opened part 7, whose opening degree is devised to be adjustable by a by-level door 8.
