Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent lateral movement of a ship body at the time of sailing at a high speed, by changing rotary motion to linear motion with a scotch mechanism and moving a tail part to the left and right.
CONSTITUTION: When a rotary disc part 10A in a scotch yoke mechanism 10 is rotated, a moved part 10C engaged with a pin 10B embedded to and erected on the disc is laterally driven. This lateral movement is transmitted to a tail part 13 through a lever 11 to laterally drive a tail fin 15 pivotally mounted to the termination of the tail part 13. Because the termination of an arm 16 protruding in a direction from the base part of the tail fin 15 to a cavity 17 of the tail part 13 is locked by a coil spring 18 to a termination 11A of the lever 11 situated on the center line of the tail part 13, the tail fin 15 is to push water in a confiquration of an appropriate slant angle.
