Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a granular paint which exhibits excellent solubility when used, by a method wherein water, a surfactant and an alcohol are mixed with a mixt. of a porous material (the surface of which is treated with a pigment) and a water- soluble paste powder (on the surface of which a porous material is deposited) and the resulting mixt. is granulated.
CONSTITUTION: A powder of a water-soluble paste (e.g. gumarabic) is mixed with a porous material (e.g. diatomaceous earth) with stirring by means of a Henschel mixer, etc. The porous material and the water-soluble paste powder are electrostatically charged by friction. The porous material 2 is deposited on the surface of the water-soluble paste powder 1 to obtain a deposition product (A). On the other hand, the porous material is mixed with a pigment with stirring by means of a Hanschel mixer, etc. to obtain a deposition product (B) in which the pigment 3 is deposited on the surface of the porous material 2 by means of micro-capsule technique. Water and a nonionic surfactant are added to a mixt. of (A) and (B). Then an aliph. monohydric alcohol having not more than five carbon atoms is mixed with the mixt. The resulting mixt. is granulated by a granulator. The produced granule is dried to obtain the desired granular paint contg. (A), (B) and the nonionic surfactant.
