Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent alteration of a working liquid hermetically contained in a heat pipe or damage in a sealed pipe by installing an exothermic plate for prevention of overheating on a part of a heat pipe outside of a vacuum tube.
CONSTITUTION: An exothermic plate 10 for prevention of heat pipe overheating 10 is mounted on an exothermic part 2 of a heat pipe outside of a vacuum tube 7 for a solar heat collector. When a heat pipe shows an abnormal temperature increase, e.g. a liquid to be heated is not caused to run in a pipe 5, resulting in the almost no radiation of heat from the exothermic part 2, heat is diffused by a convection or a radiation into an atmosphere from an exothermic plate 10. Thus it is possible to prevent overheating of a heat pipe itself.
