Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. which emits white light with high brightness under low-speed electron ray excitation, by a method wherein at least one yellow light-emitting phosphor selected from zinc oxide phosphors is mixed with at least one blue light-emitting phosphor selected from silver or zinc-activated zinc sulfide phosphors in a specified weight ratio.
CONSTITUTION: (A) At least one yellow light-emitting phosphor selected from ainc oxide phosphors of formula I (wherein Mii is Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Zn, Ba, or Sn; Miii is Al, Ga, In, Y, Tl, or Sb; 0≤a≤0.1, 0≤b≤0.1 with the proviso that 0<a+b≤ 0.1), is mixed with at least one blue light-emitting phosphor selected from a silver- activated zinc sulfide phosphor of formula II (wherein 0.1≤n≤9) and a zinc- activated zinc sulfide phosphor (ZnS:Zn) in a ratio by weight of A:B=1:9W9:1, to obtain the titled light-emitting compsn. which emits white light with high brightness and is useful for fluorescent display tubes.
