Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to conduct color changeover in a short period of time without leakage of static electricitly, by adjusting volume specific resistance to a specified value, by compounding a solvent-type coat composition containing a conductive metal powder or flake, with a suspension agent and an ionic adjustor.
CONSTITUTION: The titled composition is a solvent-type coat composition containing conductive metal powder or flake. Containing 0.04W1wt% of the composition of a suspension agent, the composition acts to prevent the metal powder or flake from depositing on the inner wall of a hose and bridging by coming into contact with each other, in a hose for application. Since volume specific resistance of the composition is adjusted to 1W15MΩ.cm, by compounding 0.06W2wt% of the composition of an ionic adjustor, e.g., a quaternary ammonium salt, it is possible to conduct color changeover in a short period of time without leakage of static electricity, even when the composition is electrostatically applied at a high voltage.
