Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the controlling of zooming and the controlling to ordinary distances and close-up distances to be changed over by single operating members, that is, a changing-over means making connection or disconnection of an intermediate layer which controls the movement of part of an optical system to and from a stationary lens-barrel member by providing said intermediate member.
CONSTITUTION: This is a zoom lens which is disposed with a zooming barrel 16 between an operating member 12 and a stationary barrel 1, performs zooming action through the rectilinear operation in the optical axis direction of the operating member 12 and performs close-up photography through the turning operation around the optical axis, wherein at the time of zooming operation the operating member 12 and zoom barrel 16 move integrally in the optical axis direction. If the operating member 12 is turned after rectilinearly operating the operating member 12 from the longest focal length position to the shortest focal length position, the changing over of zoom photography and close-up photography is accomplished by the changing over to the fixing of the operating member 12 of the zoom barrel 16 to the stationary barrel 1 and disconnection of the same therefrom.
