Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the plug valve capable of adhering to a base securely without interposing a primer by a method wherein at least the surface of the sliding part of the plug valve is covered by a composition containing thermoplastic aromatic series polysulfone and fluoroplastic.
CONSTITUTION: The plug valve covered with the composition consisting of thermoplastic aromatic series polysulfone and fluoroplastic has a low torque and durability comparable to the plug valve covered with a composition consisting of oxybensoyl polyester and fluoroplastics, further, it is not necessary to interpose the primer between the base. Accordingly, the working process thereof may be shortened. Furthermore, since the surface hardness thereof is high and it is strong against scratch abrasion and rough surface abrasion, it is also strong against the rough finish of the internal surface of the main frame, fins and burrs near the passage hole thereof and the dust in the piping.
