Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the creep from occurring by a method wherein the working liquid pressure of a torque converter is reduced to below a predetermined value independently of a speed-change controller of a speed change gear so as to reduce the torque-transmitting capacity.
CONSTITUTION: When the vehicle is stopped and an accelerating pedal 29 is released from depression, an accelerating-pedal switch 28 is turned on to drive a solenoid 26, thereby operating a bypass valve 25 to communicate an oil passage 24. The working oil fed out into an oil passage 60 is restricted in flow rate by an orifice 58, then the major portion of the oil flows into an oil cooler 48 through the oil passage 24, is fed to a lubricating section 4 at the rear part of the speed change gear and is returned to an oil reservoir 50. Accordingly, the oil is not fed to the torque converter. In addition, the working oil pressures in the passages 60, 45, the torque converter, a vacant space 21 and an oil passage 65 are determined by the passage resistances of the oil cooler 48 and the lubricating section 49 and are reduced greatly.
