Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to discharge fluid intermittently with no use of a selector valve, by cutting off a portion of a gear tooth of a gear shaft along the width thereof so that the outlet side and the inlet side of the pump are communicated to each other when the gear tooth is in mesh with a mating gear tooth.
CONSTITUTION: At least one gear tooth 5 or 6 of a pair of gear shafts 3, 4 of a gear pump 2, which are held in mesh with each other, is cut off along the width of the gear tooth leaving a portion that can be brought into mesh with a mating gear tooth for transmitting rotation of the gears. When the gear tooth comes into mesh with the mating gear tooth, the outlet side and the high-pressure side of the pump are communicated to each other, so that high-pressure fluid is discharged intermittently to the outlet side. Thus, it is enabled to dischage high-pressure fluid at a high cycle with no use of a selector valve.
