Abstract

PURPOSE: To operate a movable blade water turbine in a safe and reliable manner, by connecting a by-pass pipe having an oil regulating valve at a portion of an oil passage connecting a pressure distrubuting valve.
CONSTITUTION: A by-pass pipe 23 having an oil regulating valve 24 is connected to a portion of an oil passage connecting a pressure distrubuting valve 1. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to supplement such an amount of oil equivalent to the amount of pressure oil liaked from a sealing packing 7 with the pressure distributing valve 1 being kept at its neutral position and thus to prevent mixing of air into the pressure oil. Therefore, a movable blade water turbine can be operated in a safe and reliable manner.
