Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain titled foam, excellent in flame retardancy, by reacting an organopolyisocyanate with an active hydrogen-containing compound, a catalsyst, a foaming agent, etc., in the presence of melamine cyanurates.
CONSTITUTION: A low-smoking polyisocyanate resin foam is obtained, by reacting (A) an organopolyisocyanate, with (B) an active hydrogen-containing compound, (C) a catalyst and (D) a foaming agent, and if necessary, with (E) a surfactant and other agents, in the presence of (F) melamine cyanurate or its derivative. Where (A) is hexamethylene diisocyanate, etc., (B) is ethylene glycol etc., (C) is triethylenediamine, etc., (D) is trichloromonofluoromethane, etc., and (E) is an organopolysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene copolymer, etc. as a surfactant. About 0.02W 0.3 equivalent of (F) per equivalent (amine equivalent) of (A), is added.
