Abstract

PURPOSE: To attempt enhancement of the fan efficiency of an electric blower, by providing annular projections toward a casing on a front shroud of an impeller and making them fit in annular concave areas provided on the casing, in order to prevent the generation of circulating streams between the casing and the impellers.

CONSTITUTION: Those parts standing up toward a casing 12 almost vertically to the rotational face of the shaft of the impeller 11, that is, impeller vertical parts 18 and 19 are provided around a suction port part 16 and an exit port part 17 in a front shroud 13 of the impeller 11. On the casing 12, parts 20 and 21 into which impeller vertical parts 18 and 19 are fitted, are protruded toward the opposite side of the impeller 11 in a form of annular ribs. In this construction, circulating streams occurring between th casing 12 and the impeller 11 in the conventional blowers are checked and prevented from generation due to vertical parts 18 and 19 of the impeller 11 interlocked with fitting parts 20 and 21 of the casing 12, and the fan efficiency is improved by the portion of the reduced loss.
