Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain air-to-fuel ratio practically constant even at the time of changing air intake capacity, by providing a variable throttle composed of a jet and a needle valve on an air passage communicating with an air bleed port, to supply outer air.
CONSTITUTION: When air intake capacity to pass through an air intake passage 4 is copious, a suction piston 3 moves the left, and a metering needle 9 to a fuel passage 7 also travels to the left. And a needle valve 16 to form a variable throttle 22 together with a jet 15 keeps on contacting the piston 3 and travels to the left until a stopper 17 is brought into contact with the shoudler area 10a of an air passage 10. Therefore, air-to-fuel ratio is kept generally constant to a certain one throttle opening area of an actuator 20. On the other hand, when air intake capacity is less, the piston 3 moves to the right, the needle 9 and the needle valve 16 also travel to the ringt, and air-to-fuel ratio is controlled almost constant.
