Abstract

PURPOSE: To remarkably save a necessary power, by changing the rotation number of a rotary disc in correspondence with BOD of a solution being charged into a treating vessel.
CONSTITUTION: Sewage is biochemically decontaminated by a rotary disc having an aerobic bacteria film on its surface, the rotary disc being dipped and rotated in the sewage containing organics. In this process, the rotation number of the rotary disc is changed in correspondence with BOD of the sewage being charged into a treating vessel in which the rotary disc is dipped. The rotation number is set high or low, when the BOD is high or low, respectively. By this control, a power necessary for BOD of a charged sewage becomes as shown in the drawing. That is, an objective decontamination is accomplished by a small power.
