Abstract
PURPOSE:To minimize the time of a scan on one line by performing signal processing at a speed that corresponds to the speed of actual transmission during transfer to a transfer medium. CONSTITUTION:While data is stored on a magnetic tape, signal processing that corresponds to the speed of actual transmission, namely, signal processing that corresponds to the transmission time of data for one line during data comparession processing is performed by one-line-length determining circuit 5 in encoding circuit 4. As a result, when data is stored at 9,600bps and sent out to a circuit actually at 2,400bps, the transmission efficiency lowers, but the lowering of the efficiency is less than that when the data is stored at 48kbps or 56kbps and sent out at 9,600 bps. Additionally, data for one line is transmitted at 9,600pbs during storage, so that the storage capacity, i.e. the total bits of one screen may be small.
