Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the quantity of light by providing a voltage detecting circuit which obtains at least one voltage corresponding to the charging voltage of a capacitor and forms the output corresponding to the result of the comparison of both these voltages and rapidly dropping the charging voltage of the capacitor down to a predetermined value by this. CONSTITUTION:When a discharge light emitting tube Xe emits light, the charging voltage of a capacitor C drops rapidly, and the voltage of a voltage setting circuit connected across terminals A and B drops rapidly as well. A comparator COMP3 compares the output of a constant voltage circuit and the output of the voltage setting circuit and causes a light emitting diode LED to light and a photo operating switch PS to go ON, whereby the capacitor C is charged.
