Abstract
PURPOSE: To stabilize the quantity of light by receiving part of the output light of the 1st light source, controlling the output quantity of the 2nd light source which outputs the light of specific frequency according to the quantity of said received light, leading the controlled light to the filter interposed between the 1st light source and an optical fiber, changing the transmittance thereof and controlling the quantity of light from the 1st light source.
CONSTITUTION: Light from the 1st light source 1 passes a slit 2, and an optical fiber 7. The light having the frequency characteristic of the fiber 7 passes glass 8 and part of the light is received in a received light control part 4 by a half mirror 3. On the other hand, the light transmitted through the half mirror 3 enters an optical fiber 7' and is thereby transmitted. From the control part 4, the electrical output conrresponding to the quantity of the received light is sent to the 2nd light source 5. The light of the specific frequency is then outputted at the output quantity corresponding to the input quantity from the light source 5 and is irradiated to the glass 8 via an optical fiber 9. The glass 8 blackens according to the quantity of the irradiated light and forms a negative feedback circuit by light, thereby stabilizing the quantity of the light entering the fiber 7'.
