Abstract
PURPOSE: A specific aliphatic alcohol is phosphorylated with a phosphorylating agent to form an acidic phosphate ester, which is treated for deodorization, then, a specific amount of polyphosphoric acid is added to the product to effect reaction, thus producing the titled compound used as a face cleansing agent with industrial advantage.
CONSTITUTION: The phosphorylation of an 8W18C aliphatic alcohol such as lauryl alcohol is effected by the use of a phosphorylating agent such as phosphorus pentoxide at a temperature of 80°C to give an acidic phosphate ester. The product is deodorized with a revolving thin-film type deodorizer by the use of steam and the product is combined with polyphosphoric acid of 105W120% condensation degree by 0.1W10.0, preferably 1.0W5.0wt% and they are made to react to produce the objective compound.
