Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the cut of read-in picture and to reduce the video processing time, by detecting the end of video information, storing the effective video data only to the memory and reducing the memory capacity. CONSTITUTION:Read-in objective 1 is moved toward X, the tip is detected at an edge detector 2, and the signal (a) is given to a control circuit 3. A sensor 4 starts the read-in operation with an output signal (b) of the control circuit 3 to obtain the read-in signal (c). The signal (d) in digital conversion at the control circuit 3 is given to a memory 5 and simultaneously advances a counter circuit 6. After the end of the read-in objective 1 is read in at the sensor 4, since no picture is detected at the next line, the count value of the counter circuit 6 is zero and a zero detection circuit 7 outputs a read-in stop signal h. Since the memory 5 stores the data with pushdown, only effective picture data is stored, the memory capacity can be made small and the processing time can be reduced.
