Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove coares particles and agglomerates, etc. in a composition and to obtain the titled ink causing a little clogging phenomena with time, by centrifuging pigment ink comprising pigment, an oil-in-water type resin emulsion, water, etc. at a specific centrifugal acceleration.
CONSTITUTION: Pigment ink comprising (A) pigment (e.g., C. I. Pigment yellow 1, etc.), (B) and oil-in-water type resin emulsion preferably, acrylic, vinyl acetate, styrene-butadiene), (C) polyfunctional alcohol and/or its derivative (e.g., 1,2- ehanediol, etc.), and (D) water is centrifuged at a centrifugal acceleration not more than 25,000 acceleration of gravity (G) (preferably 5,000W21,000 G and a product of the centrigual acceleration and centrifugation time 100,000W2,000,000 G minutes), to give the desired pigment ink. Amount of the ingredients A, B, C, and D are preferably 2W30wt%, 1W25wt%, 1W25wt%, and 20W90wt% based on total amount of untreated ink respectively.
