Abstract
PURPOSE: To lower the center of gravity of a whole working barge and to improve the stability thereof by a method wherein a device for improving the ground hung from a tower is laid on the barge.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided a tower 2, a device 3 for improving the ground, a hoisting winch 4 for the device 3 and a pull down winch 5 for the device 3 on the barge 1. The tops only of the tower 2 are connected by a connecting member 6 to form a Goliath shape and the device 3 is pulled down and laid on the barge 1 by the winch 5 through a wire 5A. In such a method the center of gravity is lowered as a whole by mounting the device 3 on the barge 1 and stability is improved and the device 3 can be maintained easily.
