Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent positional slippage between the image of a small original and the recording sheet, by moving the focusing lens system in the horizontal direction by a prescribed length while keeping the lens optical axis constant for copying of the original other than the maximum original.
CONSTITUTION: For copying of small original 1', solenoid SOL is activated, and bracket 21 is displaced in the arrow S direction according to clockwise rotation of crank 26 until bracket 21 is brought into contact with stopper 24A, thus realizing the in-mirror lens position for copying of the small original. That is, in-mirror lens 2 is displaced by D/2 while keeping the optical axis direction according to activation of solenoid SOL. When activation of solenoid SOL is released, in-mirror lens 2 moves due to contraction peculiarity of spring 23 until bracket 21 is brought into contact with stopper 24. Thus, positional slippage between the image of small original 1' and recording sheet 3 can be prevented.
