Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the acceleration slowly and linearly until the specified number of rotation is attained by adding an initial current controlling circuit including a circuit for generating a ramp voltage to a rotational speed conrolling circuit of a motor which drives a centrifugal separator and the like. CONSTITUTION:The rotating speed of the motor 2 which drives a rotor 1 of the centrifugal separator is controlled by controlling a thyristor stack 8 via a trigger circuit 7 by the output from a differential amplifier 6. The differential amplifier receives the speed voltage set by a variable resistor 3 and the signal obtained by sensing the rotating speed of the motor 2 with a sensor 4 and by passing the sensed result through an F-V converting circuit 5. The initial current controlling circuit 9 including the circuit which generates the ramp voltage and whose output increases with time is provided. The output of the circuit 9 is connected to the output terminal P of the differential amplifier 6. Therefore, the potential at the point P can be decreased at the starting, the acceleration characteristics can be varied, the speed can be increased slowly and linearly in the low speed region, thereby the highly precise separation can be performed.
