PURPOSE:To use coke economically and stabilize blast furnace by obtaining the influence coefficients that affect blast furnace operations such as permeability, fuel ratio, etc. of coke quality by using mathematical model of a blast furnace and using coke based on these influence coefficients. CONSTITUTION:The air permeation resistance, fuel ratio, etc. of coke are calculated by the mathematical model of a blast furnace which assumes that the blast furnace inside is in a steady state and its section is uniform. The correlations between said permeation resistance, fuel ratio, etc. and the quality of coke are obtained and the change amounts in permeation resistance, fuel, ratio, etc. when he quanity of coke fluctuates by unit amount are obtained as influence coefficients by using the thus obtained correlations. The sum total of the degree of influence of the quality of coke upon a blast furnace is calculated by using these influence coefficients and the coke of the quality conforming to the fluctuations in the furnace conditions is charged into the blast furnace based on this value.
