Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the lowering of dielectric strength in the insulating oil while checking fuzzing by applying varnish near the cutting line on an aromatic polyamide molding and cutting it along the cutting line after hardening.
CONSTITUTION: For example, several sheets of aromatic polyamide paper sheets are laminated or short fibers and flock fibers of aromatic polyamide are laminated to accomplish a compressed molding to a specified thickness. The aromatic polyamide molding is coated along the cutting line with a varnish prior to the cutting and then, cut along the line after hardened. The viscosity of the varnish is such that the aromatic polyamide molding is impregnated therewith sufficiently thickness wise while widthwise roughly up to the thickness of the molding.
