Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve an oil separation efficiency, by a method wherein two discs are placed in parallel at an upper and a lower part at the top of a rotor, and separation of gas is achieved by the use of the rear surface of the lower disc and the upper surface of the upper disc.
CONSTITUTION: A coolant gas, compressed in a cylinder, is exhausted together with a large amount of oil, and rises in an exhaust gas path 11. It collides with a lower disc 12 which spins together with the rotor 1, and oil having a higher specific gravity is separated through the centrifugal force. Gas containing some amount of oil rises up along an inner surface of a case 6, and collides with each other at almost the center of the upper case 7. The gas falls down along an outer circumferencial surface of an exhaust pipe 5, and collides with the upper disc 13 through a seal plate 15. The upper disc 13 rotates together with the rotor 1, and thereby remaining oil is also separated through the centrifugal force. Purged gas is fed to the outside of the case through the exhaust pipe 5.
