Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the convergence by providing a field control element at the bottom of a shield cup while providing eddy current induction elements above and below an opening for outside beam formed in the bottom face. CONSTITUTION:Field control elements 12a, 12b are provided on a bottom face section 11b of a shield cup 11. While eddy current induction elements 14 are arranged above and below an opening for the outside beam respectively. Said element is constructed witn an L-shaped conductor where a portion is extended in horizontal plane to be crossed perpendicularly with horizontal deflection field. When the horizontal deflection flux is applied in the operation, eddy current will be produced in the eddy current induction element 14. Consequently even if there is time lag of the deflection field in the central beam due to the eddy current, same amount of phase lag is produced in both outside beams to prevent the production of miss- convergence due to eddy current.
