Abstract

PURPOSE:To make easy the alteration of partial function, by storing the program incorporated into modules for each function of transmission control procedures to memories. CONSTITUTION:A communication controller 10 is installed between a central processing device 20 and communication lines 15. Microprocessor is used for the common control part 11 of the device 10, and the line control program executed with this microprocessor splits each function of the transmission control part into programs incorporated into general-purpose modules. Further, the combination lists 21, 22 of the modules are stored in the memories in the device 20. Further, the execution of program is made in the device 10, then the alteration of transmission control procedures is made easily by only changing the lists 21, 22 in the device 20.
