Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a driver or passenger from taking his seat under hazardous condition by installing a stopper slidably on the seat cushion and making thereby the seat back swingable in the forward tipped position. CONSTITUTION:A hook part 7' of a seat back locking device 7 is disengaged from the locking pin 8 to tip the seat back 5 forwards, and a seat locking device 14 is unlocked to rotate the seat by a slide rail 15. The tip of a stopper pin 18 is protruded from a through hole 2' of the seat cushioning member 2 by the action of force of a spring 21. Thereby, the stopper pin 18 hinders motion of a seat back arm 3, and nobody can lift up the seat back 5 to sit there. After the seat has completely turned, the stopper pin 18 is guided by a guiding member 13 and housed in the seat cushion 1 against the force of spring 21. Now it is possible to take the seat.
