Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the drive of an efficient motor by fixing permanent magnets to a stator or a rotor and mounting the other with an electromagnet and a ferromagnetic material. CONSTITUTION:Permanent magnets 3, 4, 5 are fixed to the stator 1, and ferromagnetic material 10 and an electromagnet 9 are mounted on the rotor 2. When a DC current is supplied to the electromagnet 9 thereby generating the magnetic field of the same polarity as that of the permanent magnet 3 confronting the electromagnet 9, the rotor 2 is moved by the magnetic repelling force produced therebetween. When the DC current supplied to the electromagnet 9 is rapidly interrupted, magnetic attraction occurs between the ferromagnetic material 10 and the permanent magnet 5 approaching next, thereby moving the rotor 2 further by the magnetic attraction. Since the magnetic attraction generated at the ferromagnetic material can be utilized in addition to the magnetic repelling force generated at the electromagnet, the efficiency can be improved.
