Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a calendar display without using a ring row by a method wherein a data indicating mechanism is actuated by means of a magnet excited by a frequency dividing signal. CONSTITUTION:When a 1sec signal from a frequency dividing circuit 2 enters a divide-by-60 counter 6 and a 60 is counted, then, a divide-by-60 counter 7 is incremented by one by means of the counter 6 and in the same way, in accordance with the 60 count in the counter 7, a divide-by-24 counter 8 is incremented by one. Accordingly, the output of counters 6, 7, 8 are inputted, as a result, an output of an NOR gate 9 is inverted to a high level every time 20hr elapse when the counters 6, 7 are reset and the counter 8 counts 24. With this, a transistor 18 is turned ON every 24hr elapsing by means of a pulse, the wave form of which is shaped through an AND gate 10. Then, magnetic cores 16, 17 are excited and a data indicator 11 mounted with permanent magnets 14, 15 are controlled by a data movement control lever 12 to rotate by a given angle, thus, enabling a calendar display without using a ring row for displaying hours, thereby lowering the load of the ring row.
