Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of air-tightness test by beforehand removing moisture by drying which has permeated into empty holes and defective spots of a pressure container.
CONSTITUTION: An alternating current or a direct current power source 3 is turned ON in a pressure container 1 being connected by conductors 2. A thermocouple 4 is mounted at a proper position and a fixed temperature is maintained through the control of a temperature control device 5. In addition, the container is protected against heat radiation by a cover 6. As a result, a moisture which has permeated into empty holes or defective spots of the container 1 is subjected to accelerated evaporation, resulting in a significant decrease of residual moisture. Thus, it is possible to conduct high-precision air-tightness test.
